About

Thank you for visiting the Ravenna Blog.

Here’s what we do:

  • Report on local news and events in and/or affecting the Ravenna neighborhood in Northeast Seattle;
  • Foster community conversation through site commentary and by providing a public publishing space for the community’s use;
  • Encourage civic engagement by promoting our schools, participation in community associations, and our neighborhood community center;
  • Connect with surrounding communities‘ news sites, businesses, organizations, etc. to promote and support our own neighborhood;
  • Practice community advocacy by contacting local authorities and elected officials about the needs and concerns of the neighborhood, and encouraging our neighbors to do the same (whatever their opinions may be).

We look forward to hearing from you, neighbor!
