Friends and neighbors say goodbye to Yancy Noll near Roosevelt Reservoir

Word started getting around on Saturday that the victim of Friday night’s shooting at 15th Ave NE and NE 75th St was Yancy Noll.

Noll lived nearby, and worked as the wine steward at the Broadway Market QFC on Capitol Hill.

KIRO 7 was at the scene on Saturday night as people stopped by a growing memorial to pay their respects (segment starts after ad):

Folks who knew Yancy have been leaving remembrances on this Capitol Hill Seattle post.

I stopped by the memorial on Sunday night, and took the following pictures:

Peace to be to his memory.

  1. Yancy,
Was a good friend and colleague he will be deeply missed. He always brought laughter and joy to every situation especially his love of wine. I have many fun memories of us working together in the wine department and playing jokes on each other and other sales people. Your laughter and smile will be deeply missed

    Keith

  2. Yancy was a longtime friend through QFC. I bought many wines from him over the years and stopped to chat with him several times a week when I was in the store. On Friday I stopped in and told him I was making a “margarita cake” and we picked out some tequila and cointreau – that was his last day. I’m heartbroken that he’ll never have that cake or any other.

Goodbye Yancy — you will be so missed.

  3. Many people Previously Laugh at the japan – But This Time I laugh at all of them
